I think what you composed was very reasonable. But, what about this? suppose you composed a catchier title? I am not suggesting your content isn't solid., but suppose you added a title to maybe get a person's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You might glance at Yahoo's front page and note how they write news headlines to grab viewers to open the links. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to get people excited about everything've got to say. In my opinion, it would make your blog a little livelier.
